Your Complimentary Property Protection Audit is designed to help identify visible plumbing risks around your home before they turn into expensive water damage.
To make the inspection as thorough as possible, we need safe, clear access to the cupboard areas where hidden plumbing components are commonly located — especially under bathroom vanities, kitchen sinks, and laundry tubs.
These spaces often contain flexible hoses, isolation valves, mixer connections, waste pipes, and other fittings that are easy to miss when cupboards are full.
The better the access, the more complete the check.
Many serious plumbing leaks and home floods begin in places that homeowners rarely look at closely.
Under-sink and vanity cupboards can contain:
When these areas are packed with stored items, it becomes much harder to properly inspect the visible plumbing, check tight spaces carefully, and take clear photos of anything important we find for record-keeping and inspection reporting where appropriate.
Clear access helps us carry out a more thorough visual inspection and gives homeowners a clearer understanding of the visible condition of their plumbing.
Please empty or clear access to these areas where practical:
Clear the cupboards under bathroom basins and ensuite vanities so visible hoses, valves, waste connections, and signs of leaks can be checked properly.
Clear under the kitchen sink so we can inspect the visible plumbing connections, waste fittings, valves, and any signs of moisture or wear.
Clear under the laundry tub so we can inspect visible hoses, taps, valves, and drainage connections that may contribute to leak or flood risk.
If you have other cupboards or areas with visible plumbing, such as a powder room vanity, butler’s pantry sink, or accessible hot water cupboard, please keep them clear if practical.
You do not need to move heavy furniture or unsafe items. We only ask that normal cupboard storage items are removed where reasonably possible.
Before your plumber arrives, please try to:
Even a few minutes of preparation can make a major difference to the quality of the inspection and help us document visible findings properly where needed.
Your Complimentary Property Protection Audit is a visual inspection of accessible plumbing risk areas.
Where suitable, our plumber may check visible signs of:
The goal is to help every homeowner better understand the visible condition of their plumbing and identify risks before they become urgent problems.

Flexible hoses are common in modern homes and are often installed under vanities, kitchen sinks, laundry tubs, and toilet cisterns.
When a flexible hose deteriorates, rusts, or bursts, it can release a large amount of water very quickly. That is why clear cupboard access is so important.
Water pressure also matters. High pressure can place extra stress on hoses, taps, toilets, valves, and hot water components. If your home has signs of high pressure, noisy pipes, repeated leaking taps, or burst hoses, pressure may be contributing to the problem.
You can learn more on our Flexible Hose Replacement and Safety Check page and our Pressure Limiting Valve Installation page.
